How to book a course/workshop ?

1 - Registration

  Send your email to administration@biopilates.fr with:
  • First name 
  • Name
  • Adress 
  • Name and date of the course or workshop you want to attend

You will get an answer in 48 hours

 

2 - REGISTRATION WITH PAYMENT SUPPORT

 

Send an email directly to the administrative department at the following address: administration@biopilates.fr with :

  • Name 
  • First name 
  • Address 
  • Name of the financial support body 
  • Name and dates of the chosen training course

All processed files have a processing fee of 90€.

These fees are to be paid directly on the Mindbody application, on the online SHOP.

 

A reply will be sent to you within 48 hours.

Depending on the payment and handling methods, the balance of the training will be paid by credit card via a secure bank link according to the dates indicated on your quote. 

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF TRAINING

1 - politique d'inscription

If you confirm and pay for your entire training two months before the training date, you have a 10% discount.

Final payment is due four weeks before course begins otherwise a 10% late registration charge applies.

If you pay the exam fees at the same time as your registration to a training you have a 10% discount.

 

2 - Payment Policy

To confirm registration into a course a 90€ non-refundable, non- transferable deposit of the course fee is due at time of enrollment with course application.  

These studio fees of 90 euros are to be paid via the Mindbody application.

  • This fee will be deducted from the total amount of the training if you finance your training yourself. If the price of your training is 199 €, you will only have to pay: 199€ -90 € = 109 €
  • For students in France. These fees will be in addition to the amount of training if an organization funds your training. These are the application fees. You will have to pay the price of the training € 199 four weeks before courses begin.
  • If payment by the financial institution is made after the start of the training, late registration charge applies.
  • If you confirm and pay for your entire training two months before the training date, you have a 10% discount.

  • If the applicant is not accepted into the program, the deposit will be refunded.
  • Students enrolling in any course bundles (course fee consisting of more than one course i.e. Intensive Mat-Plus & Reformer) must register in all courses at time of enrollment and courses must be completed within six months of the first course end date . If the student does not complete the all courses within this timeframe, the remaining course fees are forfeited.The student is responsible for any wire transfer fees charged by their financial institution that processes or forwards the wire transfer payment on their behalf. 3 - Cancellation / Change Policy

  • If the student cancels their course or workshop enrollment less than four weeks prior to the start date, there will be no refund of any monies paid. Where the student cancels their enrollment more than four weeks prior to the start date the 20% of the total amount will not be refunded. Once a course has commenced no refunds are permitted.
  • If the student requests a schedule change to the course dates of any of the courses in a course bundle after the deposit has been paid, the schedule change is subject to $200 change fee per course.
  • Please be advised, Biopilates Hosting center of Merrithew reserves the right to cancel or change course or workshop dates three weeks prior to the scheduled start date. In this event, the student will have the option of enrolling into the next available course or receiving a full refund.

Apprenticeship

Students acknowledge that when enrolled IMP/ IR course they can complete their apprenticeship in their location. 

 

1 - Course Materials

Students must have their own complete course package exclusively for their use during the course as students will require access to the study materials frequently during the course.

 

2 - Exams

  • Timeline Students must take their exam within six months of completing their last course (this includes ISP). If the student has failed to meet this six month deadline, the student must complete private review hours with an Instructor Trainer to reinstate their eligibility to take the exam.
  • If the student takes their exam for the first time and fail both portions, the student has one more opportunity, within six months, to successfully pass the exam.
  • If the student fails both portions the second time, the student must wait another six months before retaking.If the student has to retake any portion (written or practical) of the exam, this must be done within six months of the original exam date. If the student exceeds the six month time period, the student must retake the full exam.

2 - Private Review

Material covered by the Instructor Trainer will be tailored to meet the student’s specific needs. The number of private review hours required is based on the course material that must be covered as well as the demands of the course repertoire. The MINIMUM private session requirements are:

  • Matwork – 1 hour
  • Reformer – 1 hour
  • Matwork & Reformer – 1 to 2 hours
  • Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair & Barrel – 2 to 3 hours

The Instructor Trainer may recommend further private review hours or study as required.


Other Terms andConditions

Students acknowledge and Hosting Facility is required to notify students in their courses of the following:

1 - Prospective Pregnant Registrants

We do not accept registration into our courses or workshops from students who are knowingly pregnant. Normally it is considered safe and desirable to work out during pregnancy as this method of exercise can be tailored to an individual’s particular prenatal stage, however, we do not tailor our courses or workshops to pregnant women. Under certain circumstances permission may be granted for select workshops. Requests must be submitted in writing to the Program Director, Education at least thirty days prior to the workshop start date. Merrithew reserves the right to determine the reasonableness of the accommodation requested.

 

2 - Absenteeism & Make-up Hours

  •  If the student misses more than five hours of a course they must make up the same amount of hours missed (1:1 ratio).
  • If a student misses less than five hours of a course, they need to make up half the time in private review at their own cost (2:1 ratio of hours missed to hours made up)  

 

Any make-up hours for Advanced, Anatomy, Rehab, and ISP (Injuries & Special Populations) courses are to be done on a 1:1 ratio of hours missed due to the large amount of course material.Make-up hours should be completed in a timely manner.

 

Students have six months to make up any hours missed, otherwise the course is forfeited and the entire course must be retaken in order to take the exam and certify.

 

A letter of completion will be sent to the student when it has been confirmed that the student has completed the missed hours.No time can be missed during any Foundation Course.

 

If a student misses any time then the course must be re-taken.

3 - Video or Audio Recording

An audio or video recording of any course or workshop is strictly prohibited. If there are exceptional circumstances that make this necessary, the student must apply in advance and receive written permission from Merrithew, which permission may include signing a contract restricting the use of the recording.

 

4 - Dates de certification

 Upon successful completion of the course exam, students are considered Certified Instructors as of their final exam date.

 

5 - Continuing Education STOTT PILATES

Certified Instructors are required to obtain six hours (0.6 credits) of STOTT PILATES CECs annually to maintain their certification. Every student has one full calendar year to earn their credits, beginning January 1st, the year following successful completion of their exam. For example, if the student successfully completes their exam(s) in July 2013, their first CEC period begins January 1, 2014 and ends December 31, 2014. CECs are earned every year on the calendar year (Jan-Dec). CECs are not transferable from one year to another.
