The STOTT PILATES® Injuries & Special Populations (ISP) course equips you with the skills required to address a broad range of physical challenges among your clients. It is important to note that this course will NOT prepare students to diagnose or treat any specific injuries or conditions or prescribe exercises for these populations without consultation with an appropriate health practitioner (i.e. Physical Therapist, Physiotherapist or similarly recognized health care professional).
STOTT PILATES® Certified Instructors are required to obtain six hours of Merrithew™Continuing Education Credits (0.6 CECs) annually to
maintain their certification. The following questions and answers help explain the program in more detail.
In an effort to strengthen our relationships with Instructor Trainers, strengthen our programs wherever they are taught and nurture your
professional development, four of the six hours required can be obtained through petition submissions from workshops in either exercise
science, movement science, anatomy, biomechanics, rehabilitation, exercise physiology or similar subject matter.
